Next Steps

Enrollment Deposit (for incoming freshman only): After you receive your acceptance letter, to secure your spot in the freshman class, you are required to submit a $50 Enrollment Deposit by May 1. The Enrollment Deposit is automatically credited toward your first semester’s tuition.

If you apply for housing and pay your housing deposit, Admissions will waive your enrollment deposit.  Simply complete the housing application and deposit process...it's that easy! If you do not plan to live on campus, please pay your enrollment deposit as soon as possible.

Orientation (required for new Freshman and Transfer students only): Sign up for Orientation. Orientation at the university is designed to help acclimate you to college life at the University of Michigan - Flint. Talk to current students, tour campus, plan your schedule with your academic advisor, buy your books, and find your classes.

Housing: Check out housing options available to you.

Register for courses: Register for courses online or through the Registrar's Office.

Information Technology Services: Activate your computer account through Information Technology Services.

Campus Bookstore: Stop by the Campus Bookstore to purchase your textbooks and other school supplies.

Academic Advising and Career Center: Visit the Academic Advising and Career Center.

Financial Aid:  Apply for Financial Aid.
