Joe Bohland |
Hello! My name is Joe Bohland, and I am originally from Muskegon, Michigan. I received a B.S. in Advertising/Public Relations from Ferris State University in 1990 and am currently pursing an M.A. in Social Science at the University of Michigan-Flint. I have worked in higher education/admissions for fifteen years. Some of the best features of the UM-Flint campus are our excellent faculty, great customer service, and a thriving campus life. Faculty interact with students in a small-class atmosphere and get to know you personally, mentoring students on research projects that will directly impact their future careers. Beginning with the Admissions office, we provide applicants with outstanding guidance through the admissions process, then the Academic Advising staff-as well as Academic departments-help with class selection and selecting a major. There are activities for every student to get involved with outside the classroom with over 100 academic, social, and sports clubs on campus. Go Blue! |

Gale Glover |
Greetings! My name is Gale Glover. I was born and raised in Flint and have spent my entire life here. It’s a great place to live and go to school. Hopefully I can share my enthusiasm for the Flint area and the University of Michigan-Flint with you! I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree here at the University of Michigan-Flint where I majored in Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Africana Studies. As a continuing student here at UM-Flint where I’m pursuing my Masters of Public Administration degree, I’m excited to share my experiences with prospective students and look forward to answering questions about my alma mater. Also, for the Mott Community College students who are interested in transferring or becoming a part of our Mott 2 U of M program; I am currently available on the Mott campus on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12 – 5 in the Mott Library room 2013. Go Blue!!! And Go Bears!!! |

Sarah Mellon |
Welcome Veterans and thank you for your service! My name is Sara Mellon, and I am originally from Pittsford, Michigan. I received a B.A. in Psychology from Siena Heights University in 2006 and a M.Ed. in Higher Education with a concentration in Student Affairs Administration from from the University of Toledo in 2010. I have worked in higher education/admissions for one year. I love every opportunity to support the arts and community events. As reflected by the missions of UM-Flint, the focus is truly on service, interaction, and student growth through educational experiences, and that is something I greatly admire about this university.
