What kind of student goes to University of Michigan-Flint? It’s a diverse mix of scholars. Leaders. People who not only want to make a difference in the community—they want to change the world. University of Michigan-Flint prepares students for this success by offering:
- Rigorous Academics: With over 100 programs of study for our students to choose from, they will not only benefit from specializing in their particular area of study, they’ll have a solid foundation in the liberal arts through our General Education Program. This will provide them with a well-rounded look at life and the world through course work in subjects such as English, fine arts, humanities, and the sciences will give them a better understanding of how everything is interrelated in the world and provide them with the communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills employers’ value.
- Student-centered focus: The reason why we’re here is because of our students. We’re focused on them, both inside and outside the classroom. We’ll serve as their toughest challengers and strongest supporters.
- Opportunities to lead: Students at University of Michigan-Flint are leaders. Through experience on and off campus, they’re taking charge and making an impact. Beyond simply making a difference, imagine how impressive these experiences will look on a résumé.
- Community: Our students, faculty, and staff are a tight-knit community of scholars, mentors, and friends. There’s always something going on right here on campus, and always someone to do something with.
