University of Michigan-Flint

Freshmen

Welcome!  We’re excited that you are considering coming to the University of Michigan-Flint. No matter if you’re coming from near or far, our goal is to work with you to make this a successful transition and provide you with a rewarding educational experience.

  • You have choices (but you won’t get lost here). With over 100 programs of study for you to choose from, you’ll not only benefit from specializing in your area of study, you’ll have a solid foundation in the liberal arts through our General Education Program.  So you’ll enjoy the academic breadth and depth of a major university all delivered with the attention and support you’d expect to find at a mid-size private college.

  • Get Involved. Even though we’re not a residential campus (yet, anyway!), that doesn’t mean our student life isn’t active.  We have over 50 clubs and organizations that range from academic, to social, to Greek life and beyond.  Fall 2008 we’ll be offering University of Michigan-Flint students the added benefits of on-campus residence halls.

  • Within your reach. We offer numerous forms of financial aid opportunities (we’re talking grants, loans, scholarships, and work study) to make your education an affordable reality.
