Why study Studio Art at the University of Michigan–Flint?

  • Create. Through a unique collaboration, students are able to take a wide variety of Studio Art courses through both the University of Michigan–Flint and Mott Community College.
  • Compile. Utilize class projects to create your portfolio. Put together a showcase of your experience under the skillful guidance of our faculty.

  • Inspire. And be inspired. Our faculty will challenge you to think critically and examine your technique. Take courses that will shape you into the artist you want to become.
  • Options. Choose from six disciplines:  ceramics, painting, printmaking/drawing, sculpture, graphic design, or design/photography. Select the concentration that best suits your talents and goals.
