I am . . . a University of Michigan-Flint parent.
The University of Michigan-Flint family is proud of our unique heritage.
We are committed to exploring new ways of benefiting individuals and communities over our next 50 years.
- In 2006, the University of Michigan-Flint celebrated 50 Years of Excellence.
- The most exciting example of UM-Flint's continuous progress took place on August 24, 2008, as 300 students moved into the first residence hall on the UM-Flint campus. The pioneering class of residential students is contributing to an even richer sense of community, both on-campus and throughout the downtown neighborhood.

Chancellor Person greets a student and his family on move-in day.
Imagine the pride you’ll feel when you’re able to say loud and proud…"I am a University of Michigan-Flint parent."

To prepare your son or daughter for this success, UM-Flint offers an educational experience that will:
To prepare your son or daughter for this success, UM-Flint offers an educational experience that will:
- Academically challenge your child beyond the classroom and textbooks for a real-world perspective of how everything is interconnected. This is the heart and foundation of our liberal arts education.
- Focus entirely on your son or daughter. Our students are the reason why our faculty are here to teach. We’ll support them and push them further both inside and outside the classroom.
- Take them into the community through service learning, internship, and research opportunities for real-world experience, right now.
- Allow them to lead. Through experience on and off campus, they’re taking charge and making an impact. Beyond simply making a difference, imagine how impressive these experiences will look on a résumé.
