A Real Value. A Real Michigan Degree.

A recognized University of Michigan degree is more affordable than you might think, especially when you earn that degree at UM-Flint.

Year after year, UM-Flint’s tuition ranks among the lowest of any public university in Michigan, making it one of the best values in higher education in the state—and across the nation.

To help make your Michigan degree even more affordable, we offer a great selection of scholarships and financial aid, including:

New Freshmen Merit Scholarhips:

Instantly available to motivated students with strong academic records, our newly expanded Freshmen Merit Scholarship program offers awards ranging up to $7,000 a year, with limited full-ride awards available. Learn more at umflint.edu/merit.

Financial Aid Packages

UM-Flint's Office of Financial Aid helps ensure all students receive all aid they are eligible for. The types of aid available include scholarships and grants, as well as flexible payment plans and campus jobs.

Other Merit Scholarships:

Thanks to the generous contributions of our alumni and other donors, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions offers a number of merit scholarships for incoming students with application deadlines of December 1 and July 1 each year. (A full list of other scholarships can be found on the Financial Aid website.)
