Group Visits

The University of Michigan - Flint is proud to host groups and individuals interested in coming to our campus to see the student successes going on here. In addition to our daily campus tours, we offer opportunities to larger groups to schedule separate visits.

Scheduling

Group Tour requests must be phoned into our office at this time. Please call our office at (810) 762-3300 to request information regarding Group Tours. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Guidelines for requesting Groups Tours:

  • Your Group Visit Request must be received at least 1-2 months prior to requested date
  • Students must be grades 8-12
  • Groups must provide at least 1 chaperone for every 10 students
  • Chaperones must remain with students throughout visit
  • Maximum group size is 70, including chaperones
  • Groups need to arrive no later than 9:45am

Tour Itinerary

Arrive/Welcome at Admissions Office - 9:45am
Please visit our website for directions to campus, parking and facilities. We are located in the University Pavilion at the corner of Saginaw Street and Kearsley Street in downtown Flint.One of our experienced Admissions Representatives will welcome your group to campus, and answer any quetions you have prior to your tour.  If you would like to have your group meet with a specific department after the tour, please contact that department directly to make that appointment.

Walking Tour - 10:15am - 11:30am
A current University of Michigan-Flint student ambassador will guide you through our riverfront campus. You will be able to view the First Street Residential Hall, University Center, W.S. White Building, Murchie Science Building, French Hall, Recreation Center, and Thompson Library. Please make sure to wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. If anyone requires special disability accommodations please indicate that on the Group Tour Request Form.

Lunch - 11:30am - 12:30pm
You have the choice to bring sack lunches or purchase lunch in the University Pavilion food court. There is plenty of seating available in the atrium area of the pavilion.
