Dual Enrolled Student Orientation
Welcome from the Academic Advising and Career Center. You have been admitted to the University of Michigan-Flint as a dual enrolling student. Congratulations on qualifying to attend the University while still in high school.
Orientation at the University is a program designed to facilitate a smooth transition to UM-Flint and assist you in making the most of your college experience. During orientation, you will discuss UM-Flint with currently enrolled students, learn strategies to being successful in the University environment and become orientated to your new surroundings. You will learn about all the wonderful services available to students (including dual enrolled students) like the free membership to the Recreation Center, free tutoring services for any class, and help from academic advisors/counselors. Take full advantage of all that is available to you as a student at UM-Flint.
It is a wonderful thing to receive college credit while still in high school but be aware these credits will forever be a part of your academic history. The grades you earn will have an impact on your ability to achieve your higher education goals.
