There are three ways to instant message an Academic Advisor:

MSN®Messenger

  • You can download MSN® Messenger from http://messenger.msn.com/.
  • You may log in to MSN® Messenger with either a Hotmail account, or MSN Passport. You may register for a Hotmail account at http://www.hotmail.com/. 

  • Once you are logged into your MSN® Messenger account you may invite umfadvising@hotmail.com and/or any specific adviser's name listed above to join the conversation. 

AOL Instant Messenger(SM)

  • You can download AOL Instant Messenger(SM) at http://aim.aol.com/. 
  • If you already have a screen name for Netscape, CompuServe 2000, AOL Hometown, or AOL.com's Personal Finance center, you can use it on AIM.
  • You may contact the Academic Advising Center by sending an IM to umfadvising and/or any specific adviser's name listed above.
