First-year Student Orientation
Orientation at the University is a required program designed to facilitate a smooth transition to UM-Flint and assist you in making the most of your college experience. During orientation, you will discuss UM-Flint with currently enrolled students, learn strategies to being successful in the university environment, and become orientated to your new surroundings. We will review policies and procedures unique to UM-Flint including graduation requirements and much more. All first year students are required to attend orientation to register for classes. Students must be present for the entire session. An $80 orientation fee* will be added to your tuition bill. *Fee subject to change.
