Orientation at the University is a program designed to facilitate a smooth transition to UM-Flint and assist you in making the most of your college experience. During orientation, you will discuss UM-Flint with currently enrolled students, learn strategies to being successful in the university environment, and become orientated to your new surroundings. We will review policies and procedures unique to UM-Flint including graduation requirements and much more. Before orientation is over, you will plan your fall schedule with the help of an academic advisor and register for your fall courses. There is an orientation fee which you may add to your tuition bill.* International Orientation is a two-day event lasting from 9am-5pm on both days.**

All students must complete the online Pre-Orientation Program. During this program you will register for orientation, view required placement exams and complete other necessary steps.
