The Academic Advising and Career Center (AACC) provide University of Michigan-Flint students with vital personal connections from the entire community to meet their needs. Utilizing a network of family, friends, faculty, staff, employers and resources, we act as mediators and facilitators whose knowledge, professional relationships and experience benefit students. Advisors make every effort to provide accurate, timely information and be accessible by communicating in useful and efficient ways. We advise with the understanding that our students have diverse backgrounds, beliefs and opinions. They have different learning needs and use a variety of technology, tools and techniques to fulfill their academic goals. Therefore, advisors work to strengthen the importance, dignity, potential and unique nature of each individual within the academic setting.
