DISCOVER
You can use the DISCOVER self-assessment test to:
- Find out more about your interests, abilities and values.
- Search databases of occupations, college majors, schools and training institutions, and military occupations.
- Save your inventory results and favorite selections in your DISCOVER portfolio.
- Create a four year course plan.
- Learn how to develop effective resumes, cover letters, job applications, and good interviewing skills.
You can access the DISCOVER self-assessment test website from any computer with internet access. This service is free for current students and $10 for prospective students and alumni.
Before you enter the DISCOVER website you will need to request access by providing the following information to the Academic Advising & Career Center:
Your first and last name
Your phone number
Your student ID number
Once your request is processed, we will notify you via e-mail with your User ID, also referred to as a token. The first time you log in to DISCOVER you will create a password.
You can also stop by the Academic Advising & Career Center (285 University Pavilion) or phone us at (810) 762-3085 to request access.
*When emailing our office please DO NOT include any information that can put your identity at risk (e.g. Social Security Number, Credit Card Numbers, Birth Date, etc.) Please email from your UM-Flint Outlook E-mail Account and use your UMID for identification purposes.
