I am a Flintstone, born at the St. Joseph Hospital, Flint, Michigan. I am the oldest of eight siblings.  I am a descendent of Indian John Robinson who past on a legacy to his children and great-grand children to pursue a higher education.  My educational journey began in the Flint/Beecher School District graduating from Flint Northern High School.  I am an Alumni of Mott Community College with an Associate degree in Science (1991) and a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in Healthcare Administrations – class of 1999.

Prior to graduating form Mott Community College, I was employed as a Nurses aid, Air Traffic Clerk for the Federal Aviations Administration, and a Marketing Assistant for St. Joseph Hospital – Flint, Michigan.  Since graduating from the University of Michigan – Flint, I was previously employed by GM/UAW LifeStep, Faith Access to Community Economic Development (FACED), Genesee Coalition on Adolescent Parenting, Pregnancy and Prevention Program (GCAPPP), and the Flint/Beecher School District teaching the Michigan Teen Program.  Currently, I am employed by the State of Michigan Department of Human Services.

My community involvement include, serving on the Human Relations Commission- City of Flint, City Wide Advisory Committee- City of Flint,  Families of Murdered Children Support Group, U of M-Flint Alumni Board of Governors, 4-H Club-Michigan State University Extension, and active member of New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church.

The reason why I chose the University of Michigan – Flint is because I was a wife and a mother of 3 children, worked full-time, involved on various committees, and did not have time to commute the Ann Arbor to attend classes.  I was very fortunate to be able to attend college in my hometown.  I am U of M –Flint.
