The annual UM-Flint Assessment of Student Learning Summit, now in its 8th year, showcases our continuing commitment to effective measurement of student learning. Each summit brings dynamic speakers to campus and provides faculty with the opportunity to discuss assessment strategies and share ideas for more effective assessment practices.

2012 Assessment Summit
The 6th annual Assessment of Student Learning Summit was held on Friday, February 10, 2012 on the UM-Flint campus. The 2012 summit was entitled "Embracing Experiential Learning: Implications & Provocations", and featured keynote speaker Randy Bass, a nationally renowned expert on experiential learning and Executive Director for the Center for New Designs in Learning & Scholarship and Associate Provost for Teaching and Learning Initiatives at Georgetown University. In addition to the keynote address, the summit also featured displays from eight faculty teams who are practicing innovative experiential learning and assessment strategies in their current teaching models.
