Support Services and Adaptive Technology
Based on the documentation provided, the following accommodations can be made:
- Sign language interpreters
- Note takers
- Tape recorded lectures
- Books on alternative format (e-text, recorded, Braille, etc.). Requests for books on e-text or recorded text should be made several weeks in advance. Requests for Braille should be made two to three months in advance.
- Testing accommodations, including; extended time, distraction free environment, readers, scribes, and computers for essays.
- Use of adaptive technology (see below)
- Other specialized accommodations can be made upon further discussion with the Accessibility Services Coordinator.

- Dragon Naturally Speaking
- Institutional membership with Reading for the Blind and Dyslexic
- TTY – telecommunications device for the hearing impaired
- Adjustable Height Tables
- WIVIK on Screen Keyboard & Word Q
- Tape Recorders (for loan)
- Microsoft Natural Keyboard
- 40 Cell Braille Display Large computer displays (20 inch flat screen monitors)
- Williams Sound Pocketalker
- Phonic Ear
- Talking calculator
