Chancellor Candidate Coultrap-McQuin to Visit Campus

The University of Michigan-Flint Chancellor Search Advisory Committee announced that Dr. Susan Coultrap-McQuin, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at the State University of New York-Oswego, will visit campus on May 5-6 for interviews and discussions with various constituencies.  She is the second chancellor candidate to visit campus.  

Coultrap-McQuin has served as Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at SUNY-Oswego since 2004.  While there, she has presided over academic program growth including development of an engineering program and establishment of a new school of Communications, Media, and the Arts.

Coultrap-McQuin came to SUNY-Oswego from Minnesota State University, Mankato where she was the Dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, 1995-2004.  Prior to joining Mankato State, she served in several faculty and administrative leadership positions at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Coultrap-McQuin has authored or edited three books and 15 articles and delivered numerous research and professional conference presentations.

Coultrap-McQuin holds a Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Iowa and a B.S. in English and French from Iowa State University.
