Since 1956, every leader of the University of Michigan-Flint has contributed to its growth, advancement, and continuous improvement. Here are a few of those milestone moments brought about through the leadership of Chancellor Borrego.

UM-Flint Creates School of Nursing

On Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 the U-M Board of Regents unanimously approved the creation of The University of Michigan-Flint School of Nursing, creating the fifth school within the university.

Philip and Jocelyn Hagerman gave UM-Flint's School of Management a $2 million gift to establish the Hagerman Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Hagerman is the founder and chief executive officer of Diplomat Pharmacy, Inc., headquartered in Flint.
