Chancellor Candidate Person to Visit Campus
The University of Michigan-Flint Chancellor Search Advisory Committee announced that Dr. Ruth Person, Chancellor at Indiana University Kokomo, will visit campus on May 8-9 for interviews and discussions with various constituencies. She is the third chancellor candidate to visit campus.
Person has served as Chancellor at Indiana University Kokomo since 1999. During that time she has directed significant growth and development of academic programs, facilities, fund raising, and university-community partnerships.
Prior to arriving at Indiana University Kokomo, Person served as the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Angelo State University and at Ashland University. Previously she held administrative and faculty positions at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and the Catholic University of America.
Person has published over 20 articles and has served on editorial boards of several publications.
Person holds a Ph.D. in management and library and information science and an A.M.L.S. from the University of Michigan, a M.S. in Administration from George Washington University, and a B.A. from Gettysburg College.
