Fanimania - The University of Michigan-Flint's Anime Club

Welcome to the Fanimania web site! We are a club at the University of Michigan-Flint that tries to increase awareness of Japanese animation amongst students and the public.

Next Club Meeting: Thursday, December 4, 2008 from 8 PM to 10 PM in the Ontario Room/Student Organization Center of the UCEN (1st floor).
At club meetings the upcoming showing is discussed and various other club business is taken care of. There is also time for socialization. Suggestions are always welcome.

Next Anime Showing: Thursday, November 20, 2008 from 3 PM to 11 PM in the Superior Room of the UCEN (2nd floor, near the Student Development Center). Theme: Naughty November (Age 13 & Up)

- Ikkitousen
- Junjo Romantica *shounen ai*
- Sekirei
- Simoun *shoujo ai*
Showings last eight hours and are suited for all audiences unless otherwise noted. Usually only a few episodes of a single series is shown, but there is often a series that continues from the previous showing. Anime is chosen from several genres unless the showing is themed.

Special Upcoming Events

Fanimania is having another anime rave on November 7, 2008 in Michigan Rooms A-D from 8PM to 2AM. You must be a college student and over 18 to attend, but you are allowed to bring one adult guest who is not a college student for each student ID shown at the door. No drugs will be present and no alcohol will be served. The cost is $3 and will go toward Fanimania's annual trip to Ohayocon in Columbus, OH (it will also get you a free glow stick).

There is free parking available in the Mill Street Deck or in the open lot nearby.

Previous Events

Fanimania will be having a Halloween costume contest on October 29, 2008 at 9PM. You can win a prize. If you are interested in participating in this event, you must pre-register by sending an e-mail to Jessica by Monday, October 27th. If you're a character from a show send that info along as well. You DO NOT have to be an anime character.
