Welcome to the
Student Organization for Molecular Biology at the University of
Michigan-Flint website. I encourage you to have a look
around at all the website has to offer. While it is still
early on in the development process we hope you find something
interesting and helpful. In the College Bound section you’ll find
helpful information for high school students considering a major
in molecular biology. The Meetings section will give the details of
previous meetings as well as location and time of upcoming
meetings. This will also be the place to find links to our
article of choice for the journal discussion portion of our
meetings. Club Activities highlights what we have planned
and what we’ve accomplished so far as a club. The Graduate
Info and Molecular Career sections will contain information we
believe to be useful for continuing your education and career.
Here you will find not only useful information for standardized
testing, interview/application tips, but also information
relevant to Molecular and science careers. The Biology and
Science Club links will take you to the department website and
the other club websites respectively. The Research link
contains links to various faculty members who are performing
research on campus. More importantly, they are also
interested in having undergraduate students assist in these
research projects.
We would also like
for you to take a moment and browse the links at the bottom of
this page. You will find a link directly to the National
Breast Cancer Foundation homepage. There you will find up
to date information on ways you can contribute to the fight and
what others are doing. You will also find a link to a page
created by Dr. Joseph Sucic in dedication to his wife Holly
Sucic, a faculty member at the University of Michigan-Flint.
Holly was a beloved member of the University of Michigan-Flint
family and will be missed greatly by faculty, students and all
who were lucky enough to have known her. We strongly
encourage you to take a moment to read about the woman who meant
so much to so many.
