HP Engine GC / Mass Spectrometer

      HP 5890 GC and HP 5989A MS with an Apolo 400 Unix computer, in an integrated system, operated by the

      HP data system. It also has a thermal desorption solids probe.  The MS has unit mass resolution up to 600

      amu.  The operating system also has the NBS 54K spectra library for compound identification.  The instrument

      is used for a wide range of analyses of pesticides, solvents, environmental samples and organic mixtures.
