Teacher Preparation Program Assessment
Public School Employers

Thank you for agreeing to assist the University of Michigan-Flint in assessing the quality of graduates from our teacher preparation program.  Your ratings and comments will be combined with those of other employers and will be utilized by the Department of Education to undertake program improvements.  You can rest assured the identities of individual respondents in this survey will be not be revealed.

The following list of ten competencies has been created to describe the fundamental skills a new teacher should possess in order to be successful in a classroom today.   Based on your observations of the performance of UM-Flint teachers you have hired in the past two years, please rate the level of preparation those individuals, as a group, exhibit in each competency.  Also, if you have comments that will help us better understand the reasons for your ratings, please feel free to state them.
