EDWARD F. GWIAZDOWSKI SCHOLARSHIP FOR EDUCATION MAJORS

AWARD: A $500 scholarship will be available to pay for tuition, books, fees and/or supplies

ELIGIBILITY:

• Current full-time University of Michigan-Flint student
• Education Major
• GPA of at least 3.3 on a scale of 4.0
• Begin student teaching in fall of 2005 or winter of 2006

COMPLETE APPLICATION TO INCLUDE:

• Scholarship application form
• Essay - No more than 2 typed, double-spaced pages
  Topic: "How do you plan to impact the lives of children in your classroom?"
• 2 letters of recommendation on letterhead
  (One letter must come from a teacher with whom you have done fieldwork. The second should come from anyone who has known you in a professional setting, i.e., an employer, volunteer, supervisor or professor. Letters may NOT come from a family member or friend.)

APPLICATION DEADLINE: To be announced. Students will received detailed information by email or formal letter as information becomes available.
