HORACE T. SANDERS SOCIAL WORK SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship was established was established by a graduate of the Social Work Program of the University of Michigan - Flint. It is in memory of her father Horace T. Sanders, who believed that knowledge, was like a cycle and was not complete until it was shared. Providing this scholarship to students majoring in UM-Flint's Social Work Program is an opportunity for this alumna to contribute to the University which laid the foundation for her professional career.

Scholarship Guidelines:

  1. Applicants must be University of Michigan - Flint students with a minimum of 50 credit hours and have a declared major in Social Work. Full or part-time students may apply.
  2. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA.
  3. Financial need is not a consideration.
  4. The award will be credited to the student's University tuition account.
  5. The scholarship selection committee will be comprised of at least two Social Work Program faculty and the donor.
