Meal plans are available for First Street Housing residents. There are three different meal plan options for students to choose from. Meal plans are included in the cost of Housing and are billed directly to the student's account. Each meal plan includes block meals, dining dollars and blue bucks in an effort to provide multiple spending options for the students. The options and cost below are per semester (Fall 2014 & Winter 2015). Pricing for future semesters is not yet available.

*Residence who have completed at least 55 credits or are a graduate student at the end of the winter 2014 term could qualify for option 3. There are a limited number of option 3 plans available.
Block meals can be used at Riverview Dining. Each time a resident eats at Riverview Dining it is considered one block meal. Residents can also use block meals in the Grill location on the 3rd floor UCEN for specified combo meals. Block meals expire on the last day of final exams each semester. Block meals may not be transferred to another type of meal plan and are non-refundable. There is no daily/weekly limits on the number of block meals a resident can use and they may be used for guests, the resident must be present to swipe their M-Card for the transaction.
Dining dollars can be used at all Dining Services locations on the 3rd floor UCEN and the NBC basement. Dining dollars will roll over from the fall semester to the winter semester. Dining dollars expire on the last day of final exams for the winter semester. Dining dollars may not be transferred to another type of meal plan and are non-refundable.
FLINT Blue bucks
Flint blue bucks can be used at all Dining Services locations on the 3rd floor UCEN, the NBC basement, First Street Residence Hall laundry and First Street Residence Hall vending, UCEN Information Center, Theatre Information Center and WSW Information Center. Flint blue bucks may not be transferred to antoher type of meal plan and are non-refundable. Flint blue bucks expire on the last day of final exams for the winter semester. Additional blue bucks can be added to your M-Card by visiting 176 UCEN or online at www.myplan.housing.umich.edu.
Meal Plan Changes
Residents may change their meal plan option for the winter semester. This change must happen prior to the date the meal plan for winter semester begins. Meal plans may not be changed mid-semester. Residents may only change their meal plan once in an academic year. To change a meal plan option, residents contact Event and Building Services in room 176 UCEN to complete the proper meal plan form during the week of the fall semester final exams.
Residents are encouraged to check their meal plan balances often and to hit the target balances weekly. Balances can be checked online at www.myplan.housing.umich.edu. Weekly target balances are posted in Dining Services on the 3rd floor UCEN.
