6th Annual Critical & Creative Writing Conference

A collection of critical paper, creative prose, poetry, or plays presented by their author.


The Critical and Creative Writing Conferene is open to ALL disciplines!!!!

Conference Information:

Please join us on Friday March 30th, 2012!!! Even if you don't present during the writing conference we would love to see you there.

Location: UM-Flint Campus (More details to come)

 

Submission information:

Submission Deadline: Submissions will be accepted from November 14, 2011 to January 23rd, 2012.

We welcome the following submissions from ALL disiplines and ALL courses:

  • Both Creative Writing and Prose
    • 5-9 typed, double spaced pages
    • This includes:
      • Academic Papers (e.g., from a course) across ALL disciplines.
  • Plays
    • 10 minute or One Act Plays [no more than 35 pages]
  • Poetry
    • One Long Poem or Two Short Poems


All submissions require a completed cover sheet.

  • Available in:
    • English Department (326 French Hall) 
    • Online Here


Submissions will be accepted in hard copy or digital format to the following locations:

  • Hard Copies can be delivered to the Sigma Tau Delta mailbox in the English Department (326 French Hall).
  • Digital Copies can be emailed to sigmataudelta@umflint.edu
    • Don't forget to include your completed cover sheet!


So let those creative juices flow, dust off that paper you thought was fabulous. Give everything a look over, polish it up and submit it for consideration. In previous years, we have had 46 creative works and 43 academic works accepted, and published a 237 page journal. Come be part of the fun, and add to your academic resume at the same time!
