Schedule for Winter 2013

Course Description:

This semester the Challenge Program will be focusing on professional development, diversity in the work place, resume and cover letter building, interview skills, and getting you into the career of your major while you are in school.  The purpose behind this is first off to get you experience in your field but also to prepare you for your 300 and 400 level classes.  Once you get into your upper level classes it will be almost like training for your specific field.  Additionally we believe that it is only a recession for some people the people without and education and experience.  It should be your mission to get both while you are here

Course Objectives:

1. To get you ready to begin work in your profession of choice
2. To know how to build your personal network to work to your advantage
3. Prepare you to begin with the end in mind (which means prep you for graduation even though it is still three and a half years off)
4. To practice interview skills so that you are prepared to answer typical questions on the fly
5. To prepare you for graduation

Dates and Times:

There are 3 session times that Connections 102 is offered.  You are expected to stay in the session that you have chosen.  The times that Connections 102 is offered are from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, 11:00am until 1:00 pm, and 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.  Connections 102 will begin on January 11^th and runs every Friday until February 15^th.
