Geography, Planning, and Environment
The Geography, Planning, and Environment Department (formerly ERS) has multiple and interrelated components. The first is to understand the natural processes at work shaping our physical environment; second is to study the human response to those processes; and lastly to develop a means for students, faculty, and community to develop an appreciation for the character and complexity of environmental problems, so as to help make sound judgments about their resolution.

Student Fellowship Receipient !!
Zachary Hayes, one of our students pursuing a bachelor's degree in Energy and Sustainable Systems with a minor in City and Regional Planning, was nominated by Chancellor Borrego for the Newman Civic Fellowship.
