French Hall Renovations

The French Hall building is currently undergoing a 68,000 gross square feet renovation. The renovation project has a budget of $9.35 million and is expected to be complete by the fall of 2008. These renovations will include a complete rework of the second floor and a partial rework of the first and third floor. The three elevators in French Hall will be replaced during the project and several mechanical and electrical systems will be updated. The design team on the project is Duce Simmons Associates LLC, and the primary contractor on the project is Sorensen Gross Construction with Walker Electric and Ecker Mechanical subcontracting.

Currently underway is the complete rework of the second floor. The floor has been completely gutted and the new walls are being framed. The replacement of the east elevator has also been completed. The second floor renovations are expected to be complete in December and the first floor to be started in January.
