Sustainability
Go Blue, Live Greener
Facilities and Operations is committed to conserving resources and reducing costs to the University and our environment. The following links illustrate some of the resource saving projects we at Facilities and Operations have completed. These projects directly reduce the amount of resources we use at the University every day.

Upcoming Projects
UPAV RAMP LED Lighting Upgrade
Thompson Library Lighting Upgrade
Campus Irrigation System Upgrade
The upgrade to the irrigation system has several features to reduce water usage by 35% or more. It is a weather based control that determines the optimal irrigation schedule based on seasonality and site parameters such as soil texture, plant type, slope, precipitation etc. It sends weather information every 24 hours to each controller and modifies scheduled station runtimes by replacing just enough water to maintain plant water requirements.
