Project Description:  A collaborative research project in which a graduate student and faculty member team will perform the literature review, archive work, theoretical framing and literary analysis necessary to write and submit a jointly-authored article for publication. The topic of the project is the 15th century author Margery Kempe and her use of  humor to construct herself as a fictionalized comically pious character.

Specific Day/Time Requirements:  Schedule can be arranged to suit both parties

Special Requirements:  Extensive training in locating and comprehending literary scholarship

Knowledge of the field of medieval feminist scholarship

Ability to locate, read, and discuss relevant pieces of literary theory
