Project Description: The TCLT fosters opportunities for faculty to engage in internal and external research on teaching and learning in areas of content specialization. The GSRA would provide support to this pedagogical research by engaging in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
This research not only fosters self-reflective practice for our faculty, but yields research of national importance suitable for publication in peer-reviewed professional journals. The GSRA would have the opportunity to co-author along with the faculty involved.
Semesters Desired: Fall 2009; Winter 2010
GSRA Position Description: The GSRA will conduct literature review; analyze quantitative and qualitative data; complete data entry; interview subjects (as necessary); coordinate data collection; and other research duties as assigned.
Specific Day/Time Requirements: Flexible; to be determined
Special Requirements: Familiarity of use of database searching; proficient in Microsoft Office software programs. Willingness to learn NVIVO, SPSS and other relevant statistical software programs.
