The history of economic thought and macroeconomic theory

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I enjoy organizing material into coherent stories and discussing it with students, usually learning in the process that the stories weren’t as coherent as I thought they were, then trying again.

Who has had the greatest influence on your career?

My grandparents (high school teachers), my mother (a judge), a high school English teacher, a college Sociology professor, my friends (in reading groups since I’m a social learner).
