Each graduate program at UM-Flint has deadlines for applying for admission. Deadlines vary by program as well as by semester. Some programs admit students to all entry terms (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer) while others limit admission to only one or two semesters (Fall and/or Winter and/or Spring). Please check your program of study for its admission terms.

International students may be required to apply earlier than the deadline posted by the program. The final deadlines for international students are May 1 for the fall semester, September 1 for the winter semester, and January 1 for the spring term. International students should apply by the earlier deadline (program deadline or the international deadline).

The general deadline to apply for most graduate programs for the Fall semester (beginning in late August) is August 1.  To be considered for scholarships, grants, and research assistantships, the deadline to apply for fall is May 1.  International students must also apply by May 1.  Programs that have earlier deadlines:

• Anesthesia (MS) - Early Review Deadline: October 1; Final Review Deadline: February 1
• Nursing (DNP) - BSN to DNP - Deadline: March 1
• Nursing (DNP) - MSN to DNP - Early Decision Deadline: December 1; Final Deadline: March 1
• Physical Therapy (Entry-Level DPT) - PTCAS Application Deadline: October 15; PTCAS Supplemental Material Deadline: December 1; Graduate Programs Material Deadline: January 15
• Physical Therapy (Transitional DPT) - Deadline:  May 1
• Physical Therapy Certificate - Deadline: May 1
  

The general deadline to apply for most graduate programs for the Winter semester (beginning in January) is November 15.  International students must apply by September 1.  The following program has a different deadline:

• Business Administration (MBA) NetPlus! and traditional program - November 1
• Physical Therapy (Transitional DPT) - September 1

The general deadline to apply for most graduate programs for the Spring term (beginning in May) is March 15.  International students must apply by January 1.  The following programs have earlier deadlines:

• Business Administration (MBA) NetPlus! program beginning in March - Deadline: February 1
• Education (MA) - Technology in Education Global Program beginning in Spring 2011 - Deadline: December 15, 2010
• Physical Therapy (Transitional DPT) - March 1

The general deadline to apply for most graduate programs for the Summer term (beginning in late June/early July) is May 15.  The following program has an earlier deadline:

• Business Administration (MBA) NetPlus! program - May 1
