Each graduate program at the University of Michigan-Flint has its own policies and procedures for admission. To apply, you must submit an application (either online or with a paper application), pay the application fee, and submit all supporting materials (transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc.) required by the program to which you wish to apply by the application deadline. For program-specific information, visit the Programs section of our website.

Once you have applied for admission, you can check the status of your application by registering on our My Graduate Admissions page.  Simply register on the site, and you can see which application items have been received and what is still needed to complete your application.  You can also see when a decision has been made on your application.

Application Deadlines

Each graduate program at UM-Flint has deadlines for applying for admission. Deadlines vary by program as well as by semester. Some programs admit students to all entry terms (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer) while others limit admission to only one or two semesters (Fall and/or Winter and/or Spring).
