Ralph M. and Emmalyn E. Freeman Graduate Program Scholarship

The estate of former Federal Judge Ralph M. Freeman and his wife, Emmalyn Ellis Freeman, provided a very generous gift to the University of Michigan-Flint. Their gift has provided for the establishment of several graduate scholarship endowments at the University including the Ralph M. and Emmalyn E. Freeman Graduate Program Scholarship.

Applicants must be admitted to a University of Michigan-Flint graduate program, completed all prerequisite courses, and earned a minimum of twelve (12) hours of graduate credit at the University of Michigan-Flint. Applicants must have a minimum of a 7.0 grade point average as a UM-Flint graduate student.

The Ralph M. and Emmalyn E. Freeman Graduate Program Scholarship guidelines are available at the Office of Graduate Programs, 251 Thompson Library and the Financial Aid Office, 277 University Pavilion. You apply via the Office of Financial Aid website from mid-December through June 1. (Click the link to the UM-Flint University Sponsored Scholarship Application.) You will apply for most university scholarships with a single application. Please note, however, that you must submit the letters of reference directly to the Office of Financial Aid following the completion of the electronic application. All materials are due by June 1.
