What is PPEP?

The Pre-Health Professions Enrichment Program (PPEP) is a component of Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP), which is a grant funded program whose purpose is to build relationships with students to provide them with the academic and social skills required to compete for admission, enroll, progress, and graduate from a health professions program.

Who can join?

PPEP is a 6 week summer program designed for seniors interested in pursuing a career in a health field.

What are the  2010 dates?

June 20th through July 29th

Monday thru Friday

8:30 am - 3:00 pm

Where will the program be held?

The program will be held on University of Michigan-Flint campus.

How to Join?

If you are interested applications are available on this website or come to the HCOP office located in the William S. White Building in Room 1157.

PPEP group

Benefits:

  • Students' academic and interpersonal skills will be strengthened to prepare them for success in college.
  • Students will engage in activities to enhance their social and communication skills.
  • Students may receive up to a $1200.00 stipend.

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • You must be a current 11th or 12th grade student
  • You must be interested in pursuing a career in health.
  • You must be planning to attend UM-Flint in the fall.
  • You must be committed to attending all 6 weeks of the program.
