Exporting Your Favorites From Internet Explorer to a File

1. Click File in the menu bar.
   If you don't see the menu bar press the ALT key on the keyboard while in Internet explorer.
2. Click Import and Export... in the File menu.

3. When the Import/Export Wizard opens click Next.

4. Select Export Favorites then click Next.

5. Select the Favorites folder then click Next.

6. Select Export to a File or Address and choose a location to save the file to then click Next.

7. Click Finish.

8. Finally click OK.

You should now have a backup of your favorites, bookmarks.htm, saved in the previously selected location.  Be sure to save this to a safe location for importing to Internet Explorer at a later date.

Importing Your Favorites From a File to Internet Explorer

1. Click File in the menu bar.
   If you don't see the menu bar press the ALT key on the keyboard while in Internet explorer.
2. Click Import and Export... in the File menu.

3. When the Import/Export Wizard opens click Next.

4. Select Import Favorites then click Next.

5. Select Import from a File or Address then click Browse...

6. The Select Bookmark File window will open.  Navigate to the location of your bookmark.htm file, select the file and click open.

7. Select the Favorites folder then click Next.

8. Click Finish.

9. Finally click OK.
    

Your favorites are now imported into Internet Explorer.
