Clearing the Browser Cache in Firefox

This article iterates the steps needed to clear the cache in Mozilla's Firefox Web browser.
You must have Firefox open.

  1. Opening the Preferences Menu
    • To open the Preferences Menu in Windows, First Click on the Tools in the Menu Bar then Click Options.
    • To open the Preferences Menu in Linux, First Click on Edit in the Menu Bar.
    • To open the Preferences Menu in MacOSX, First Click on the Apple icon.
  2. Select the Privacy Tab
  3. Click on the Clear Now... button.
  4. Make sure Cache is the only selected item, uncheck any other items.
  5. Click on the Clear Private Data Now button.
  6. Click Cancel
  7. Click OK

You cache has now been cleared within the Firefox Browser
