Your Hompage directory is web site space allocated on the server that is available to each student, faculty, or staff member. The Homepage folder is found in your Personal Directory or H:\ Drive (
Homedrive). After creating an index.html web page and placing it in the Homepage folder, your web address will be http://homepage.umflint.edu/~
Uniqname.
If you need to save a file into your web space located in your Personal Directory, just click
Save As in the
File menu of any application. Choose the drive with your UNIQNAME on it, then choose the Homepage folder and click "Save" as usual.
You may also use a
VPN connection to access your Homepage directory and save web pages.
If you would like the UM-Flint Community to be able to view your website, you can register your information on the Homepage Gallery located at http://homepage.umflint.edu. You can continue to edit your information and choose whether or not your site will be listed in the Homepage Gallery. Web sites and blogs that are not saved on the campus servers can also be listed.
The Homepage Gallery is searchable by last name, first name, nickname, uniqname, keywords, and major.
