This ITS Quicknote is designed to instruct users on connecting to their homedrive using Apple OS 10.5 Leopard or 10.4 Tiger.

Note: If you are off campus, you must first connect to the VPN before attempting this Quicknote. Please see “Connecting to the UM-Flint VPN on Mac OS 10.5 Leopard” for instruction on how to connect to the VPN.

Configure Homedrive Access on Your Mac:
  1. Click Finder on the dock.

  2. Click Go on the menu bar.

  3. Click Connect to Server on the Go menu.

  4. In the Server Address field, type the following:
    • For Students - smb://141.216.3.67/home/uniqname
    • For Faculty and Staff - smb:/141.216.3.55/home/uniqname
    
Replace uniqname with your uniqname.
  5. Click Connect on the Connect to Server window.

  6. When prompted, enter your uniqname and password.
  7. Click Connect.

  8. Your homedrive will now be listed in the Finder Sidebar under homedrive/home.
