The University Webguide contains web-based instructions on how to use Interwoven Teamsite Content Management System (CMS), MediaBin, and FormAssembly, which are web-based tools that university departments use to publish web pages, work with images, and create online forms.

What is a CMS and how can it be used?
A CMS (content management system) is a piece of software used to effectively organize and manage large amounts of digital content. Content, in reference to the university's CMS, includes all web pages, documents, and other files made available via the university web site. The CMS makes it possible for almost anyone to easily manage web content, without needing to know how to write HTML (hyper-text mark-up language, the typical method for creating web pages). By using a CMS the university will also have an easy way to implement version control. What is FormAssembly and how can it be used?
FormAssembly is a web form creation and processing service. Web forms provide the university with an easy way to collect information, without all the messy paperwork. FormAssembly also makes it easy for users to generate forms specific to their needs. You can learn more about using the CMS, MediaBin and FormAssembly at www.umflint.edu/webguide/.
