This quicknote will assist any University of Michigan-Flint Facutly, Staff, or Student in using the new print queuing  program called PaperCut.  PaperCut is replacing the previous Uniprint printing system.

OverviewITS has 3 open labs on campus. They are located at 206 Murchie Science Building (MSB), 3174 William S. White Building (WSW), and 205 French Hall (FH).

Instructional labs, available for reservation, run by ITS are located at 501 and 507 MSB, 3153, 3175, and 3176 WSW, and 459 FH.

Other ITS printing stations are located on 3rd Floor of the UCEN in the Student Life Loft, each of the 3 floors of the Library, within the Academic Advising Loft in the University Pavilion, and in the front lobby of 1st Street Residence Hall.

The Uniprint printing systems in these locations are being replaced by the PaperCut print queuing system. The directions in this document will assist you in using this new printing system.
How To Print
  1. Open or Create your document as you normally would
  2. Click Print
  3. Select the printer appropriate for the type of printing you are doing and click OK
  • Black and White Prints: \papercut\MAIN
  • Color Prints: \papercut\MAIN-COLOR

Releasing the Job to the Printer Using The Release Station

  1. Locate the release station(s) in the lab you are in.
  2. Login to the PaperCut site using your uniqname and LAN password  
  3. Click Login You should now see your print jobs listed on the screen. Single Image

  4. Click Release All to send your print jobs to the printer   To cancel the jobs that have been sent to the printer click Cancel All in the top left of the screen.
  5. Your Print should now be available on the printer next to the release station
  6. Click Done in the bottom right of the screen to logout of the release station
