Configuring PaperCut Access using Windows XP/Vista

*** You must be on campus or connected to the VPN before attempting to add a printer.*** Vista:
- Click the Start Orb
- Type Printers in the search bar
- Press Enter
- Click Add a Printer
- Click Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer
- Click The printer that I want isn’t listed
- Select the option entitled Select a shared printer by name
- Choose one of the following printers to add and type the path as shown.
- Black and White Prints: \\papercut\MAIN
- Color Prints: \\papercut\MAIN-COLOR
- Click Next
- Click Install Driver if prompted
- Click Next once the printer has been successfully added
- Click Finish to close the add a printer wizard
XP:
- Click the Start Button
- Click Control Panel
- Click Printers and Faxes
- Click Add a Printer
- Click Next
- Select A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer
- Click Next
- Select Connect to this printer
- Choose one of the following printers to add and type the path as shown.
- Black and White Prints: \\papercut\MAIN
- Color Prints: \\papercut\MAIN-COLOR
- Click Next
- Select No on using this printer as a default printer
- Click Next
- Click Finish
- Open or Create your document as you normally would
- Click Print
- Select the printer appropriate type of printer for the job you will be printing
- Black and White Prints: \\papercut\MAIN
- Color Prints: \\papercut\MAIN-COLOR
- Go to one of the Open Lab Locations or PaperCut Print Stations on campus
- Login to the PaperCut site using the following credentials
- Click Login You should now see all of your jobs listed on the screen
- Click Release All on the top left of the screen To clear all of your jobs at once click Clear All in the top left of the window
- Your Print should now be available on the printer next to the release station
- Click Done, found on the bottom right of the screen in the PaperCut Application to logout
- Retrieve your print off of the printer
