Snapshots are used for reporting purposes and are exported from a Microsoft Access database.  This functionality was present in Microsoft Access 2003 but was removed from Microsoft Access 2007.  This quicknote will assist with installing the Snapshot viewer for Microsoft Access 2007.

BasicsSnapshots are used for reporting purposes and are exported from a Microsoft Access database.  This functionality was present in Microsoft Access 2003 but was removed from Microsoft Access 2007.   This quicknote will assist with installing the Snapshot viewer for Microsoft Access 2007.

The Snapshot Viewer is used to open files with the (*.snp) extension. 
Installing Snapshot Viewer for Microsoft Access 2007Download location: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=B73DF33F-6D74-423D-8274-8B7E6313EDFB&displaylang=en

  1. Download the Snapshot Viewer from the above link
  2. Run snpw.exe
  3. Click Yes to install Snapshot viewer
  4. Click Yes to the license agreement
  5. Click Continue
  6. Click OK to the default installation location
  7. Click Complete Install button
    Clicking Exit Setup will not install Snapshot Viewer on your computer.
  8. Click OK to finish the installation
