    The UMF_SECURE wireless network is a replacement of the UMF_BASIC wireless network that has been used by the campus for the past few years. This tutorial will explain how to connect to this wireless network with the Windows XP operating system.

    This Quicknote is written as a tool to assist University of Michigan-Flint faculty and staff in selecting their H: drive (or Homedrive) as the location for their “My Documents” folder. Positioning “My Documents” on the H: drive will reduce the chance of important files and documents ever being loss, should the harddrive in a computer fail. The H: drive is located on the network, and is backed up every night. By placing “My Documents” on the H: Drive you are also making it accessible from more locations. Once you complete the directions below you will be able to access your “My Documents” folder from any computer with access to your H: drive
