You can be a resident on a great campus! Living on campus is the ideal place to study, relax, and make friendships that last a lifetime. If you have an interest in Housing, please complete the application.  Upon receipt of your application we will contact you through your UM-Flint email address regarding next steps in the process.

There are two different services available in SIS:

  • Housing application/contract = allows you to apply for housing and sign your housing contract

    • Students who are under the age of 18 when applying will need to contact our office to sign a contract.
  • Housing deposit = $500.00 required deposit applied directly to your student account

Applications

Admitted students may complete the housing application and sign your housing contract on-line. The first thing you need to do is sign into the Student Information System (SIS). Once you have you signed in, click on the tab labeled Student Services at the top of the page.  If it is the first time that you are signing into SIS, you will need to answer the Student Authorizations questions and hit the submit button. You will then click on Housing & Residential Life on the left hand side. If you have not been admitted, click on this link for Admissions.

Contracts

Contracts are available for signing after completing and submitting your housing application. Once you sign your contract you may view it any time by returning to your SIS account.

Housing Deposit

All new applicants are required to pay a $500.00 housing deposit within two weeks of signing the housing contract.

The deposit must be paid within two weeks of signing your housing contract. How do they pay? The $500 deposit is credited toward your total housing cost and is not an additional fee. This deposit secures your room and room assignments will be given priority based on when the housing deposit is paid. If the deposit is not paid within two weeks, you will be put on a waiting list for room availability until the deposit is paid. 

Students that cancel their agreement prior to July 1, 2017 will receive a full refund. Students that cancel their agreement after July 1st forfeit 50% of their $500 deposit. Students that cancel after August 1st forfeit 100% of their $500 deposit.
