How do I get to the residence hall?

Directions from I-69
Take I-69 to I-475 north to exit 8A (Longway Boulevard), approximately one mile from the I-475/I-69 interchange. After exiting I-475, turn left twice to travel south on the I-475 service drive (Chavez Drive South). Continue on Chavez until 1st St. Make right on 1st street and the residence hall will be on your right hand side. -
Directions traveling north from Ann Arbor on US-23
Take US-23 north to I-69 east. Take I-69 to I-475 north to exit 8A (Longway Boulevard), approximately one mile from the I-475/I-69 interchange. After exiting I-475, turn left twice to travel south on the I-475 service drive (Chavez Drive South). Continue on Chavez until 1st St. Make right on 1st street and the residence hall will be on your right hand side. - Directions traveling north from Detroit area on I-75
Take I-75 north to I-475 north. Take I-475 seven miles north to exit 8A (Longway Boulevard), approximately one mile from the I-475/I-69 interchange. After exiting I-475, turn left twice to travel south on the I-475 service drive (Chavez Drive South). Continue on Chavez until 1st St. Make right on 1st street and the residence hall will be on your right hand side. - Directions traveling south from Grayling on I-75
Take I-75 south to I-475 south. Take I-475 nine miles south to exit 8A (Longway Boulevard), approximately one mile from the I-475/I-69 interchange. After exiting I-475, turn left twice to travel south on the I-475 service drive (Chavez Drive South). Continue on Chavez until 1st St. Make right on 1st street and the residence hall will be on your right hand side.
Are there places in town to buy items that I forgot?
Most of the items that you need will be available at the bookstore on campus. Visit www.umflint.edu/bookstore for more information. If you need additional items there is a Target, Meijer and Office Depot located within driving distance.
How do I get to local stores?
Take South Saginaw to 69 East and get off on the Center Road exit.

Make a right on to Center Road and on your right will be Target, Dollar Tree, Dots, Office Depot, TJ Maxx, Payless Shoe Store, Party America and Blockbuster.

If you keep straight on Center Road you will pass several business and restaurants and then you will come to Meijer which will be on your left.

Make a left on to Center Road and continue on Center Road until you get to Court Street and make a right. There is a mall on your right and as you continue down there is Art Van Furniture Store, Office Max, VGs grocery store, Home Depot, Sprint Store, Sally's Beauty Supply and Staples.

If you keep straight on Center Road you will pass several business and restaurants and then you will come to Wal-Mart which will be on your left.
VEHICLES
What if I don’t have a car?
Don’t worry! Almost everything you need you can get on campus. Also you will end up making friends in the residence halls that might have a car. In addition there is a Flint public bus system. Go to http://www.mtaflint.org for more information.
